One of something is garbage, a thousand is the start of an art piece.

I have a lot of friends who say "I'm not creative". My standard response is to say the short line quoted above and tell them to collect a thousand of something and to play with the items until they figure out some unique way of conecting, organize or arranging them into something cool or unique. As an artist, I've been a collector of large numbers of 'things'. This series of torsos started in 2009 when I got several plastic half torsos-the kind used for clothes hangers. I mades several molds of the torsos using plaster and fiberglass with the idea of filling them with the things I've collected.
